Kendrick McDonald, 10, killed by his dad on Thanksgiving; allegedly

DailyKenn.com — 10-year-old Kendrick McDonald was fatally shot in Omaha, NE. 

Arrested on charges of criminal homicide was his "father," 47-year-old Kendrick McDonald.

Due to a prior felony conviction, reports say the elder McDonald should not have been in possession of a firearm. 

News reports noted that the shooting coincided with a car alarm suggesting the shooter may have confused the little boy with a car thief. 

The victim appears white. The shooter appears black. News reports did not say if the victim was the shooter's natural son, was adopted, or otherwise sired by another male.
