Remember the day you realized the department store Santa was just a guy in a Santa Claus outfit?
You were likely disappointed as real life revealed itself to your maturing mind.
He another whiff of reality for adults: The guys in pulpits are ordinary people. They have a natural side that includes natural sex drives. Some are careful drivers and some are somewhat wreckless. The former was call 'sensible' the latter, 'unwise'.
So, don't be shocked when you discover the pulpiteers you admire deserve to be admonished. They're just ordinary people playing dress-up.
Here's another thought to ponder.
Virtually ever mega-church and major religious organization has a one thing in common: All are led by charasmatic and intelligent individuals. I know of no exception.
And it seems the more charismatic the leader is, the larger his following.
The massive size of mega churches has nothing to do with the blessing of a super spirit. It has little to do with the spiritual aptitude of the leader. It all hinges, again, on the charisma and intelligence of the leader.
Once we grasp that observation, we will never again be disappointed when we discover the man in the Santa suit is just an ordinary man.
