Ruth Dalton, 80, was killed during a Seattle, WA carjacking.

Jahmed Kamal Haynes, 48, is accused of pushing the beloved dog walker  from her car and running her over, killing her.

The fatal carjacking occurred near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Way East and East Harrison Street. The victim had several dogs in her vehicle when she was attacked. Authorities reported that she was dragged by the vehicle as the suspect fled the scene.

Haynes was arrested by a SWAT team near his residence.

Court documents show he hit and killed a pedestrian in Capitol Hill while driving 50 mph down a sidewalk on February 3, 1993. [source]

Michael DeHaan, 33, was fatally shot in Kansas City, MO.

Lorenzo C. Johnson, 31, was arrested.

Johnson was captured on security footage committing the crime a
t a Kansas City gas station.

The surveillance footage showed that just after 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, Deehan arrived at the BP gas station in his red Nissan Versa and parked at the pump.

A gold Lincoln Town Car, which had been involved in multiple armed robberies earlier that evening, also entered the parking lot. Johnson was allegedly inside the vehicle during those robberies.

The footage captured Johnson exiting the Town Car and engaging in a physical altercation with Deehan before entering the victim’s car. Deehan attempted to hit Johnson, but Johnson exited the vehicle again. This time, as Deehan backed away, Johnson pointed a firearm and shot him in the head.

Before leaving the scene in Deehan’s vehicle, Johnson was seen on the footage backing over Deehan’s body and speeding away. The stolen vehicle was later spotted parked approximately nine blocks from the gas station.

Officers pursued Johnson, who eventually lost control of the vehicle and crashed. A white female occupant fled on foot while Johnson reached for his firearm. A marked patrol vehicle then pushed the Nissan to ensure Johnson’s safe arrest.

However, the patrol vehicle was not properly secured in park, causing it to hit the Nissan again, deploying the airbags. This allowed Johnson to regain control of the stolen vehicle, drive off the curb, and head north. He led police on a chase across the city before the vehicle became immobilized on a median about a mile from where he was first seen.

Arndt stated that after Walker began hitting and kicking him, he pulled a knife from his pocket and began to "slash" at her, stabbing her approximately 13 times.

He further confessed to investigators that after stabbing Walker multiple times, he cut her throat, gave her a hug, stabbed her one more time in the back, and then dragged her body to the river before fleeing the scene.

Arndt admitted that he then went to his apartment in Fargo, where he cleaned up and washed his bloodstained clothing. A search warrant executed at Arndt’s residence led to the discovery of socks and a towel with red stains in a kitchen cupboard.

The complaint states that security footage captured Arndt on a motorized scooter heading toward the pedestrian bridge to Fargo. Along the way, he appeared to be discarding items in the area where Walker’s phone was later found.

A review of Walker’s phone revealed conversations agreeing to meet Arndt at Gooseberry Park.

If convicted, Arndt could face up to 40 years in prison.

The media, television commercials in particular, actively normal racially mixed romantic relationships; particularly with a black male and white female. According to court documents, the incident began with a brief confrontation in the parking lot before the shooting occurred. Surveillance footage reportedly shows Johnson exiting the store and walking through a crosswalk where Barnett was driving. Johnson is seen extending his arm toward Barnett’s vehicle.

Investigators say the video shows Barnett reversing his car, stopping, and then getting out. Johnson then walked toward him. The interaction between the two men lasted about 20 seconds before Barnett returned to his vehicle, and Johnson walked back to his own car.

After Barnett parked, the court documents state he began walking toward the Walmart entrance. Johnson then drove in Barnett's direction, got out of his vehicle, and when Barnett approached him, Johnson allegedly shot Barnett once and left the scene.

Barnett was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his gunshot wound. The shooting occurred less than two minutes after the initial encounter between the two men, according to the charging document.

KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino commented on the incident, saying, “At 4:30 after work, in a Walmart parking lot, you can imagine this place was full. There could have been a worst-case scenario on top of what is already a tragic scene. So, for that, we’re fortunate. These things are avoidable, a lot of this is preventable. I don’t know many things that are worth pulling out a firearm over, ending someone’s life, or risking getting your life ended.”
