DailyKenn.com — Police reform won't happen until police start killing white kids?
That seems to be the message of CNN's Chris Cuomo.
According to foxnews.com, Cuomo said "police and gun reform won’t happen until 'White people’s kids start getting killed.'"
Cuomo seems to accept the notion that police are more hostile towards black youth than white youth.
What Cuomo failed to mention is that other groups, such as Hispanic and East Asian, are also less likely to be confrontational with police than blacks.
The conclusion is that police unfairly target blacks due to white racism.
The far left seldom entertains the idea that black kids are more likely to commit crimes than other groups. When the left does acknowledge elevated crime in black-majority neighborhoods, it typically places the blame on past white racism, such as 'red lining' or denying access to income opportunities.
• Was Cuomo advocating for police to kill white children in proportion to blacks, even if white kids commit fewer offenses per capita? Or was he merely expressing the notion that black kids are unfairly targeted by authorities?
• In light of Cuomo's comments, one has to wonder if diversity is a strength or weakness.
CNN’s Chris Cuomo Friday during "Cuomo Primetime" said that police and gun reform won’t happen until "White people’s kids start getting killed."
"Shootings, gun laws, access to weapons. Oh, I know when they’ll change," said the anchor. "[When] your kids start getting killed. White people’s kids start getting killed."
Cuomo put on a hypothetical accent and pretended to be a White parent. "What’s going on with these police? Maybe we shouldn’t even have police," he said.
