DailyKenn.com — 34-year-old Ashley Bitikofer was fatally shot in Crown Point, Indiana.
Dejuan McIntyre, 42, was arrested. Public records profiled him as a black male.
McIntyre and Bitikofer were supposedly in a "tumultuous" relationship that had ended a few weeks prior, according to nwitimes.com.
The victim was found behind a Menards store.
Crown Point is a suburb east of Chicago and just south of Gary, Indiana which is about 78 percent black. Gary is noted as the most dangerous city in the USA and dispossession of its former white population.
