DailyKenn.com — 23-year-old Ryan Realbuto was killed during a suspected robbery in Washington, DC.
No suspects have been identified.
Realbuto was working with at-risk youths in Washington through a Catholic organization. Apparently one or more of the youths Realbuto was attempting to help took his life.
While reaching out to at-risk youth may be a noble effort, the unwillingness to recognize the root causes of their dilemma — low IQ, low impulse control, low empathy, and psychological disorders including sociopathy, narcissism, and psychopathy — while attributing their plight to social causes renders such efforts futile.

Ryan Realbuto, a 23-year-old Pittsford man and 2019 Pittsford-Mendon graduate, was shot and killed on South Dakota Avenue NE in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred around 10:04 p.m. and is believed to be an apparent robbery.
Ryan, an active member of the Cap Corps (Capuchin Franciscan Volunteer Corps), was walking home from a youth gathering at church with friends when a car pulled up. The occupants asked for money, and when no cash was produced, one person shot Ryan.
He succumbed to gunshot injuries at a local hospital. Ryan was known for his involvement in the Cap Corps, a Catholic volunteer organization in D.C., where he worked in education, social services, and job coaching.
Authorities are searching for two men in connection with the incident, driving a dark gray Honda Accord.
