Charged with murder was 32-year-old Duron Thomas Sr.
Witnesses reported that Coons and 32-year-old Duron Thomas Sr. had an altercation during a game of pool. After they were separated, Thomas allegedly pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots, hitting Coons and the second person, according to court records.
