Zachary Lawrence, 25, fatally shot in Dallas, TX

Christopher Peterson, 62, was arrested for murder.

Peterson reportedly told police the gun went off during a fight.

According to the affidavit, however, Peterson approached Lawrence and another person with a gun and a fight ensued.

The affidavit describes how Peterson body-slammed Lawrence to the ground, stood over him, and fired one shot.

Peterson, when interviewed, told police he had no prior history with Lawrence and claimed the gun went off during the fight, according to the affidavit.
