DailyKenn.com — Persons in the USA illegally are allowed to carry firearms.
That is the decision handed down by U.S. District Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman.
There is a law that says, in effect, that uninvited guests are barred from carrying firearms or ammunition.
Defense attorneys argued that “Lifetime
disarmament of an individual based on alienage or nationality alone
does not have roots in the history and tradition of the United States.”
Coleman apparently seized upon the notion that the law transgresses tradition.
"Even in the present case, Carbajal-Flores contends that he received and used the handgun solely for self-protection and protection of property during a time of documented civil unrest in the Spring of 2020,” Coleman wrote.
It is not known if the defendant was sympathetic to the 2020 rioters.
