Dallas Man Fatally Shot in Early Morning Incident; Suspect Charged With Murder
DALLAS (DailyKenn.com) — A 48-year-old Dallas resident was killed in a shooting early Sunday in the city's Oak Lawn neighborhood, marking the third fatal shooting investigated by police over the weekend amid a spike in local violence.

Thomas Sebastinelli was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 4100 block of Cedar Springs Road around 1:20 a.m. on Sept. 21, authorities said. Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel responded to the scene but pronounced him dead at the location. The shooting occurred near several bars and restaurants in the bustling Uptown area, though no immediate details were released on the circumstances leading to the altercation.
Earnest Polk, 32, was arrested shortly after the incident and booked into Dallas County Jail on a murder charge. He remained in custody as of Monday, with bond set at $500,000. Police have not disclosed a possible motive or relationship between the suspect and victim.
The slaying was one of three fatal incidents Dallas officers probed over the Sept. 20-21 weekend. In a separate case, 17-year-old Angel Celis-Reyes was shot to death on Military Parkway, with no arrests announced. A hit-and-run crash on Donald Street claimed the life of 26-year-old Calan Gilbert, leading to the arrest of 22-year-old Marko Chavez on murder charges.
