DailyKenn.com — A news photographer was surrounded by a mob and savagely beaten at a black lives matter march in New York City, reports say. Two police officers were injured during the peaceful protest.

The incident occurred on Manhattan Island Friday evening, Feb. 12, 2021.

Take away...

• The savages apparently don't understand: The purpose of a protest is to draw attention to the cause. Attracting the media — including photographers — is a key component to achieve that purpose.

Savagely beating photographers is counterproductive. That should be obvious. It's apparent that the far-left isn't attuned to reality.

• The photographer was reportedly mistaken for an undercover police officer. What, pray tell, was the clue? There probably was no clue. Could it be that a savage accused him of being a cop for the sake of inciting violence? Could the true motive for the attack been racism?

A Black Lives Matter march through Midtown Manhattan turned violent Friday night, with 11 protesters arrested.

The NYPD reported that two officers suffered minor injuries during the protest, which was attended by about 100 marchers; officials could not immediately say how the cops were hurt.

At least some of those arrested were accused of attacking Daily News photographer Sam Costanza at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and 54th Street in the mistaken belief that he was a cop, sources said.

The photog was surrounded and struck after one of the marchers recognized him from a BLM protest outside the NYPD’s 6th Precinct house in Greenwich Village last year, according to sources.
