DailyKenn.com — Racism permeates every aspect of Western culture, from single-family dwellings to elementary school math classes. And it is there, math classes, that that university-educated warriors for social justice are confronting the devil that dwells among us.
Drilling down to hell itself, we discover that correctly answering math problems is an expression of white supremacy. To help eradicate the evil, the Dept. of Education in Oregon is offering training that will assist teachers in recognizing that manifestation of white racism.
"The concept of mathematics being purely objective is unequivocally false, and teaching it is even much less so," the document for the "Equitable Math" toolkit reads. "Upholding the idea that there are always right and wrong answers perpetuate objectivity as well as fear of open conflict."
It all adds up. Or does it?
