DailyKenn.com —Nikki Haley trimmed her sails to accommodate changing political winds when she lashed out against President Donald Trump.
Haley's opinion was expressed in an interview with thehill.com.
"[W]e shouldn’t have followed him," she said after claiming Trump had "let us down."
• In reality, it appears that Haley is one letting us down. It's nothing new. When governor of South Carolina, Haley removed the Confederate flag from the state's capitol building.
Haley ordered the removal of the Confederate flag in 2015, using a shooting at a Charleston church as a pretext. Now she is blaming the January 6 protest in Washington as the pretext for shifting her support away from President Trump.
One can't help but wonder, can Haley be trusted?
Nikki Haley issued stunning remarks breaking with former President Trump, telling Politico in an interview published Friday that she believes he “let us down.”
“We need to acknowledge he let us down,” Haley, who served in her ambassador role under Trump, said. “He went down a path he shouldn’t have, and we shouldn’t have followed him, and we shouldn’t have listened to him. And we can’t let that ever happen again.”
