DailyKenn.com — One of the clever methods of communicating in the U.S. House of Representatives is shouting through the representative's mail slot. Apparently, every office door has one. And given the proliferation of electronic communication, that may be all the slots are good for.
Take patriot congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG), for example.
Greene, who is a Republican representing Georgia's 14th congressional district, had a message for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) who represents New York's rat-infested 14-congressional district.
We don't know why Greene shouted through AOC's mail slot. It may be because the New Yorker's staff locked MTG out. How rude.
So Greene communicated the best way she knew how. “...get rid of your diaper,” she reportedly said, and “Stop being a baby and stop locking your door and come out and face the American citizens that you serve.”
Thedailybeast.com described the verbal cabal as abuse. So Nancy Pelosi. The House Speaker said it may justify an ethics investigation.
Imagine that. Congress members being investigated for talking to each other.
AOC reacted by suggesting MTG has a mental problem. She needs some help, she told NBC. That, by the way, is classic gaslighting; when you attempt to control a person by questioning their sanity.
Take aways...
• An ethics investigation would like serve in the best interest of MTG. Greene is sculpting a self-image of a righter who stands up to the left and is routinely attacked by them. Such a persona will play well with voters in northwest Georgia.
• Do we really want Republicans and Democrats getting along? It seems the us-vs-them check-and-balance system works well for citizens as each party seeks to expose the flaws of the other. It's a self-cleaning system, of sorts. Keeps shouting, Rep. Greene. You're helping to keep congress clean; a true environmentalist in the mentalist frame of mind.
• The far-left has long advocated from strong women. Now that they have them, they are wanting to punish them for being strong women.
• No imagine Pelosi's response had the roles been reversed. AOC would have been lauded as a stand-up kinda guy who took no guff from insurrectionists.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Thursday that Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's decision to scream at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez outside the House chamber is behavior that may need to be investigated by the House Ethics Committee.
Pelosi said at her weekly news conference that the incident, which she called a "verbal assault" and "abuse" of the New York Democrat, was reported to her leadership office.
“It's so beyond the pale of anything that is in keeping with bringing honor to the House, or not bringing dishonor to the House. It's so beyond the pale that you wonder ... it probably is a matter for the Ethics Committee,” Pelosi said.
