AbateHate.com — Anat Kimchi, age 31, was fatally stabbed in Chicago, Illinois.
Police described the attacker as "Black, between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11 and had dreadlocks or was wearing a bandana that looked like dreadlocks," according to chicago.suntimes.com.
Kimchi was attacked from behind in broad daylight. She suffered multiple stab wounds and was struck on the head by a blunt object. The attack occurred in a downtown area known as 'The Loop' near a homeless encampment. The attacker is thought to have been homeless. He is a possible suspect in two other similar assaults on women.
The victim had been working on her doctorate in criminology and criminal justice at the University of Maryland. She was in Chicago visiting friends.
