DailyKenn.com — Blame Republicans. That's the insinuation displayed by the USA Today headline which reads, "Texas Republicans' voting bill led to a dramatic walkout."

The plain truth is: Republicans are defending America's democracy by assuring fair elections. Far-left Democrats reframe the effort as "voting restrictions." Extremist Democrats seem intent on depriving voters access to free and fair elections.

Push came to shove in Texas when state Senate Bill 7 came up for a vote. Democrats simply walked out, stalling the vote.

After voting irregularities apparently undermined the 2020 presidential election, some states are taking affirmation actions to assure voting integrity and honesty; something extremists Democrats deplore.

Take away...

• If Democrats can't win elections without systemic cheating, perhaps they should reconsider their party's platfrom.

Democrats tried to prevent the bill from passing by delaying a vote until after the deadline. When that tactic didn't work, they walked off the floor.

In response, Abbott announced the bill will be added to a special session agenda. "Election Integrity & Bail Reform were emergency items for this legislative session. They STILL must pass," he wrote on Twitter. "Legislators will be expected to have worked out the details when they arrive at the Capitol for the special session."
