AbateHate.com — Officer Brian Pierce Jr., age 24, was killed by reckless homicide near Brooklyn, Illinois.
Arrested was Caleb Campbell, age 22.
Reports say police were pursuing Campbell when the vehicle he was driving struck Officer Pierce on the side of a road.
The incident occurred August 4, 2021. The arrest was reported August 20, 2021.

County State's Attorney Tom Haine announced Friday an arrest and
charges against a suspect in the death of Brooklyn Police Officer Brian
Pierce Jr.
Caleb Campbell, 22, was arrested in Florissant,
Missouri and is charged with one count of first-degree murder, failure
to report an accident involving personal injury or death, reckless
homicide, failure to stop after having an accident involving personal
injury or death, and aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a police
officer.
Back on August 4, Pierce Jr. was part of a team trying
to stop a fleeing driver. The driver, now identified as Campbell, drove
over spike strips and struck Pierce Jr., killing him.
