As the suspects drove off, the victim fired at both his car and the carjackers' car.
Apparently, the suspects intentionally rear-ended the Lyft driver, forcing him out of his vehicle. The suspects reportedly commandeered the victim's car, leaving him stranded with little more but the clothes on his back and a firearm.
The incident occurred in broad daylight with a number of witnesses present.
