Deputy killed in shootout with suspects attempting to steal catalytic converter

DailyKenn.com — Harris County, TX, Deputy Darren Almendarez was fatally shot after spotting three suspects attempting to steal his catalytic converter in a grocery parking lot. 

Two of the suspects were identified as Joshua Stewart, 23, and Fredarius Clark, 19.
