78-year-old woman dies after being pushed, run over in parking garage

DailyKenn.com — Jacqueline Mixon, 78, died after being pushed to the pavement and run over in an Atlanta, GA hospital parking garage. 

Mixon apparently was given a near-perfect bill of health while visiting the hospital for a check up. She left in an ambulance after an alleged assault and died ten days later. 

69-year-old Gloria Franklin was charged with aggravated assault and voluntary manslaughter. 

Jim Crow laws, though unfair to countless law-abiding Black people, were enacted to protect people like Mixon.
