DailyKenn.com — Black offenders committed 51.22 percent of homicides in the USA over a ten-year span (2012 through 2021), according to FBI statistics [source].

Blacks, however, comprise only 13.6 percent of the country's population.

We conclude, then, that 13.6 percent of the population commits over half of all homicides.

Most offenders are males. In fact, 78.94 percent of offenders are known to be males.

11.22 percent are known to be females.

The sex of 9.18 percent is unknown. If 78.94 percent of 'unknowns' are males, that would add 8.84 percent to the number of male offenders, bringing the total of male offenders 86.18 percent.

Therefore, 44.12 percent of all homicides in the USA are committed by black males who comprise about 6.8 percent of the population.

What about age?

When the age of offenders is considered, 94.69 percent of homicides are committed by offenders ages 10 to 59 years [ibid.]. That is, very young boys and elderly men seldom commit homicides.

As of July, 2021 there were 85.45-million males ages 10 to 59 in the country, or 25.75 percent of the population (331.9-million) [source].

Assume 6.8 percent of males ages 10 to 59 are Black. We calculate there are 5.81-million Black males ages 10 to 59 in the USA, or 1.75 percent of the population.

We calculate that 41.78* percent of all homicides are committed by Black males, ages 10 to 59; a demographic that, again, represents 1.75 percent of the population.

Summary:

• Black (13.6 percent of the population) offenders committed 51.22 percent of homicides.

• Black male (6.8 percent of the population) offenders committed 44.12 percent of homicides.

• Black-male 10 to 59-years-old (1.75 percent of the population) offenders committed 41.78 percent of homicides.

* 44.12 percent x .9469 = 41.78 percent
