DailyKenn.com — 22-year-old Alexis Boland died after being shot multiple times in her Dunlap, Illinois apartment.

Arrested was 26-year-old Walter J. Artis, Jr.

25newsnow.com reported that Boland and Artis had "children in common."

The site also said, "...according to a witness, Artis, Jr. forced his way into the apartment and pulled out a handgun, firing multiple shots at Boland striking her in the head and torso - then fleeing the scene in his vehicle."

Generally speaking, mating with persons who present with low impulse control, low intelligence, and a penchant for violence may be unwise and could be deadly.
