DailyKenn.com — Sapaya Kjirsten Paddilla, 34, was fatally shot in her vehicle in Flint, Michigan.

Arrested were Demarcus Latrell Williams, 32, and his wife, Sabrina Lisha Williams, 28.

According to mlive.com, "Demarcus Williams is charged with first-degree premeditated murder, assault with intent to murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, and three counts of felony firearm in connection with a Feb. 11 shooting outside Midway Square Townhomes."

Violent crime is on the increase in Michigan.

There were 755 reported murders in Michigan in 2022, or about two per day, according to neighborhoodscout.com.

The media notes the national trend coincides with the COVID epidemic rather than the Black Lives Matter and Defund the Police "epidemics."

According to bridgemi.com:

"In the first seven months of 2022, Grand Rapids recorded 3,363 crimes, including 761 assaults and 15 homicides ─ all above averages for the previous three years.

"In Oakland County, there were 26 homicides in the first six months of 2022, double the tally for the same period last year. There have been 10 homicides this year in Pontiac alone. Four of the county victims were children aged 4, 6, 7 and 16.

"Detroit has been jolted by five mass shootings in three months that left four dead and 28 wounded. At least four people were shot in each of the incidents, according to the Gun Violence Archive, a nonprofit gun research group."
