DailyKenn.com — When nine black Christians were brutally murdered in South Carolina, the media took notice.

When nine black Christians were brutally murdered in Nigeria last month, the media was all but AWOL.

What is the difference?

Why do the black lives in Charleston, SC matter while those in Plateau state, Nigeria not matter?

The answers are simple:

The deaths of nine black parishioners in Charleston were exploited to advance the leftist conspiracy theory of ubiquitous white racism.

The deaths of nine black parishioners in Nigeria cannot be exploited by the left.

The Charleston blacks were killed by a lone white male. We are to only think of white males as racist bigots.

The Nigerians were killed by the Islamic hate group commonly called "Fulani herdsmen." We are not to think of Muslims as violent terrorists.

What's more, the black Christians in Nigeria were murdered by other blacks. Black lives matter when killed by police or white extremists, it seems.

So the story is being ignored.

From christianpost.com:

ABUJA, Nigeria — Fulani herdsmen and other terrorists killed a pastor and his two sons last month in Plateau state, Nigeria, and six other Christians were slain in the state in other attacks.

Herdsmen and other terrorists at about 11 p.m. on March 26 broke into the North Jos home of a family belonging to the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), killed Micah Gochin and kidnapped his son, the slain Christian’s daughter said.

“My family home was invaded and attacked by armed men we believe are terrorists and herdsmen,” Beyitmwa Gochin told Morning Star News, saying the loss was “devastating.”

West of Jos, in Riyom County, Fulani herdsmen on March 5 killed COCIN Pastor Musa Hyok and his two sons at midnight in their home in Ganawuri town, said resident Swachet Titus.

Nigeria led the world in Christians killed for their faith in 2022, with 5,014, according to Open Doors’ 2023 World Watch List report. It also led the world in Christians abducted (4,726), sexually assaulted or harassed, forcibly married or physically or mentally abused, and it had the most homes and businesses attacked for faith-based reasons. As in the previous year, Nigeria had the second most church attacks and internally displaced people.
