Mauk was searching for an open parking spot in a Walmart lot. As he drove down an aisle, the female suspect was backing out of a parking spot. The two vehicles collided. When Mauk got out of his car to apologize, the suspect allegedly stepped out of her car and shot him in the face before driving off.

Police said the impact was minor, resulting in a scratch or two.
