DailyKenn.com — Nathan C. Goodway, 31, was fatally shot in Oswego, NY.
Jaiwann D. Watson, 21, was accused of fatally shooting Goodway.
A second suspect was arrested but police did not name her.
Officers responded to an assault complaint at a residence. Upon arrival, they discovered Goodway with a gunshot wound to the torso. Goodway succumbed to the injury at the scene.
Law enforcement concluded that a verbal altercation had occurred between Goodway and Watson. Allegedly, during this argument, Watson shot Goodway before fleeing the scene in a vehicle prior to the arrival of the police.
A bulletin was issued by the police, providing a description of the vehicle believed to be driven by Watson.
Subsequently, Fulton police officers identified a vehicle matching the description and attempted to initiate a traffic stop at 12:02 a.m. on Friday. Watson reportedly evaded the officers, leading them on a brief pursuit by vehicle and then on foot before being apprehended.
