DailyKenn.com — Brandon Michael Cartwright, 24, was fatally shot in Waynesboro, MS.
Richard Mayfield, 24, was arrested and charged with accessory after the fact.
Investigators revealed that Richard Mayfield is the cousin of the first suspect, Jaylen Mayfield, who has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Brandon Michael Cartwright.
The shooting occurred outside the High Noon Lounge in Waynesboro.
Cartwright’s family was present during the hearings for both suspects.
“When we were in there with the killer, that was hard. I’m not gonna lie to you. I studied that man from top to bottom. I felt hatred, and I know God says you should never hate. But I felt hatred. I can’t even explain how I felt. But it was hatred,” said Teresa Cooper, Cartwright’s mother.
