DailyKenn.com — Christopher Andexler, 41, was fatally shot in Cleveland, OH.
The suspected shooter and another individual have been released from custody as investigators continue to piece together the events that led up to the incident.
Andexler was killed following an argument on an overpass.
Witnesses told News 5 that Andexler and another driver pulled over, exited their vehicles, and began arguing before shots were fired. Andexler was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
The suspected shooter, a 28-year-old, left the scene, but his car malfunctioned. According to neighbors, the vehicle burst into flames shortly after the suspect, a 28-year-old woman, and their young children safely exited the vehicle.
Surveillance footage captured an image of the suspected shooter carrying a car seat near one of the nearby buildings. Both the man and woman were detained by Brooklyn Heights Police, and their children, ages 4 and 2, were placed in the care of child protective services.
The police chief added that although the couple initially attempted to flee the scene, they later cooperated with investigators while in custody. Authorities are currently reviewing the case to determine potential charges.
