DailyKenn.com — Suzette Rae Gums, 52, died after being stabbed in Des Moines, IA.
Walter King Bickham, 58, was charged with second-degree murder.
Police and fire crews responding to a call found an adult female in cardiac arrest, according to a news release from the Des Moines Police Department. Gums had a "laceration injury" in her lower body "that caused significant blood loss at the scene," police said.
Gums was transported to a local hospital where she died.
