DailyKenn.com — SHANNON, N.C. (AP) — A domestic dispute turned deadly Monday evening in Robeson County, when a man was fatally shot and another arrested at the scene, authorities said.

Deputies with the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting call around 7:07 p.m. on June 9 in the 200 block of Pluto Drive in Shannon, a small unincorporated community west of Lumberton. Upon arrival, they found Thomas Richard Walsh, 52, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Walsh was transported to UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, where he was later pronounced dead, according to law enforcement.
