Man Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Keaton Delcore at Southeast Austin Gas Station
DailyKenn.com — Authorities have arrested 28-year-old Vondell Louis Crawford in connection with the June 22 shooting death of 29-year-old Keaton Delcore at the Apple Mart gas station on Wickersham Lane in Southeast Austin.
According to the Austin Police Department, officers responded at approximately 12:29 a.m. to reports of a man bleeding on the ground at the gas station. Upon arrival, they found Delcore with trauma to his neck. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1 a.m.
Investigators determined that Delcore had an interaction with Crawford in the parking lot before the shooting. Crawford allegedly fled the scene following the incident.
Crawford was apprehended by members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force on June 26. He has been charged with first-degree murder, a felony punishable by up to 99 years in prison.
This incident marks the 30th homicide in Austin for 2025.
