SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Nicole H. Azzoto, a 40-year-old Syracuse resident, was found dead in her home on July 18, 2025, in what police described as a domestic shooting. Authorities charged Anthony Price, 56, with second-degree murder in connection with her death, which has left the Syracuse community in mourning.
Syracuse police responded to a welfare check at 103 Glass Terrace around 2:25 p.m. on July 18 after concerns were raised about Azzoto’s well-being. Upon arrival, officers discovered Azzoto deceased under suspicious circumstances. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The Syracuse Police Department’s Homicide Unit launched an investigation, conducting interviews, canvassing the neighborhood, and executing search warrants. Evidence analysis led to Price, who was present at the residence, being identified as the suspect. He was taken into custody the same day and charged with second-degree murder, a Class A-1 felony.
