According to crime statistics from 2019, there were approximately 560,000 violent interracial incidents between Black and White individuals in the United States. Of these, about 470,000 (85%) involved Black perpetrators and White victims, while the remaining 15% involved White perpetrators and Black victims, reports Matt Walsh at DailyWire.

In the same year, 240 Black individuals were killed by White individuals, compared to 560 White individuals killed by Black individuals. White individuals make up roughly 60% of the U.S. population, while Black individuals account for about 13%. Despite the significantly larger White population, the raw number of Black perpetrators in interracial violent incidents exceeds that of White perpetrators.
Young Black males, who constitute approximately 5-6% of the population, are disproportionately represented in violent crime statistics, including a majority of homicides in the U.S. This disparity results in a statistical likelihood that a White person is significantly more likely—up to 30 times, according to some analyses—to be killed by a Black person than vice versa.
Some say these statistics, while striking, should be understood within a broader context. Factors such as socioeconomic disparities, systemic inequalities, and concentrated poverty in certain communities can contribute to higher crime rates. For example, areas with limited access to education, employment, and resources often experience elevated levels of violence, regardless of racial demographics.
Others note black crime statistics is ubiquitous, transcending both time and geography pointing to an inherent, genetics cause. That theory is typically accompanied by suggesting that the tendencies that result on black economic disparities is also ubiquitous, noting that black nations continue to fall far behind other nations economically, again pointing to an inherent cause. The summary is that socioeconomic disparities don't birth black crime but, rather, crime and socioeconomic disparities are siblings, birth by genetics.
Addressing these root causes through targeted policies and community support could help reduce violent crime rates and disparities across all groups. Until governments properly diagnose the black crime and economic failures are inherent and not due to "systemic racism," no cure will be forthcoming.
