LONDON (DailyKenn.com) — Can polygamists do math? If one man takes ten wives, nine other men are left without partners.

A comparable demographic imbalance appears to be developing in the United Kingdom, where reports conclude that Indian female fetuses are being aborted at higher rates than males.

It seems to be intentional.

The predictable outcome will be a surplus of Indian men seeking wives, leading to more cross-cultural marriages with native British women—and, over time, a transformation of the nation’s genetic and cultural identity.

Britain’s cultural shift may well be irreversible.

When I visited England with a college group (now Liberty University) in 1973, I encountered only one non-white individual—a street vendor selling ice cream. In less than fifty years, the white population has been eclipsed by non-white immigration. If current trends continue, the indigenous British may eventually vanish. Yet few are willing to call it by name: genocide.

Is this by design? Let's have a look:

Sex-selective abortions targeting female fetuses

For the first time, official U.K. government statistics have found statistically significant evidence that sex-selective abortions targeting female fetuses are occurring in Britain, with an estimated 400 such cases among pregnancies of Indian ethnicity between 2017 and 2021 (Office for National Statistics, 2023).

Statistical Evidence Emerges

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) report, released in 2023, analyzed birth records in England and Wales. Researchers focused on families with two or more previous children and found that among mothers of Indian origin, the sex ratio exceeded 107 males per 100 females — well above the natural biological average of approximately 105:100 (Office for National Statistics, 2023).“The evidence suggests there may have been approximately 400 sex-selective abortions to female fetuses of Indian ethnicity, after 2 or more previous children,” the report concluded. “This suggests that sex-selective abortions are taking place” (Office for National Statistics, 2023).

 Legal Framework and Historical Context

Sex-selective abortion has been illegal in the United Kingdom since the Abortion Act of 1967, which permits terminations only on medical or broad social grounds — never based solely on fetal sex (Abortion Act, 1967). Parliament reaffirmed this prohibition in 2014 with a 491-2 vote following media exposés (Hansard, 2014).Undercover investigations by The Daily Telegraph in 2012 captured doctors at private clinics offering to arrange abortions for women pregnant with girls, prompting regulatory referrals (The Daily Telegraph, 2012).

Academic and Demographic Analysis

Long-term studies of census and birth data have documented skewed sex ratios in certain South Asian diaspora communities. A 2022 study published in eLife examined 18.4 million births across the U.K., U.S., Canada, and Australia from 1999 to 2019, finding consistent male bias at higher birth orders among Indian and Chinese families in Britain (Auger et al., 2022).Earlier analysis of 2011 census data estimated between 1,500 and 4,700 “missing” girls due to prenatal sex selection, primarily among first-generation immigrants (Dubuc & Coleman, 2014).

Role of Prenatal Testing

The rise of noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) — blood tests that can determine fetal sex as early as seven weeks — has intensified concerns. In 2018, Labour Party lawmakers called for restrictions, warning that early gender detection could make Britain a destination for sex-selection tourism (The Independent, 2018).

Enforcement Challenges

Despite the data, prosecutions remain rare. No clinician has been charged solely for performing a sex-selective abortion. The Department of Health and Social Care acknowledges monitoring birth ratios by maternal country of birth but maintains that evidence of widespread abuse is limited (Department of Health and Social Care, 2020).

Cultural Pressures and Coercion

Advocates and former prosecutors say son preference in some communities leads to intense pressure on women. “Many women say they have suffered violence or been coerced into abortions because they were pregnant with a second or third girl,” Nazir Afzal, former chief crown prosecutor for Northwest England, told a parliamentary committee in 2018 (BBC News, 2018).

Ongoing Debate and Future Monitoring

Critics argue that statistical anomalies may reflect migration patterns or underreporting rather than abortion (Purewal, 2017). Still, campaigners like MP Fiona Bruce, who led the 2014 motion, insist the numbers demand stronger action.“It is a further damning indictment of our commitment to female parity that we allow this illegal practice to continue,” Bruce said during the debate (Hansard, 2014).As birth-ratio tracking enters its second decade, experts anticipate more precise estimates — and growing pressure to close legal loopholes some clinics exploit under vague “social grounds” clauses.
