CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. — A 31-year-old man from Rockville was shot to death in his vehicle at Milligan Park on the evening of March 5 during what authorities described as a marijuana transaction arranged through social media that had been set up as a robbery.
Kaleb J. Isabell arrived at the park around 9:50 p.m. in a silver Volkswagen Passat with a woman after contacting a Snapchat account using the name Draco to purchase marijuana. A man approached the driver's side, greeted Isabell, counted cash on the hood of the car and handed it inside. Isabell passed the money to the woman in the back seat. She reported hearing multiple gunshots shortly afterward.
The woman told investigators she saw the shooter run west through the park. Officers responding to the 911 call found Isabell in the driver's seat suffering multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to Franciscan Health Crawfordsville, where he was pronounced dead.
According to court documents, the encounter was part of a robbery planned several days earlier by four individuals who aimed to take the marijuana and resell it. Evidence at the scene included shell casings near the vehicle, a large amount of cash inside and a burner phone in a camouflage backpack linked to the Draco Snapchat account.
Police identified the account as belonging to 18-year-old Draco Alan Lee Farris-Clark of Crawfordsville. He was apprehended shortly afterward in a red Chevrolet Equinox at a nearby Long John Silver's parking lot. His clothing and shoes were wet and sandy, consistent with fleeing through the park's creek area. Farris-Clark told investigators he became nervous during the exchange, heard a metallic sound and fired at close range.
The other three charged are 18-year-old Zayden Michael White of Crawfordsville, 19-year-old Adrien Wesley Cottom of Crawfordsville and 17-year-old Korbin Brock Jones of Waynetown, who is being charged as an adult. Jones is accused of providing the handgun and counterfeit money used in the setup, while White helped plan the robbery and Cottom assisted with logistics including a getaway vehicle. Farris-Clark faces an additional murder charge as the shooter. All four face charges including murder and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury. They are being held without bond in the Montgomery County Jail.
