DailyKenn.com — Is diversity divisive? It seems to be, at least in the U.S. Senate.

Illinois Democratic Sen. Tammy Duckworth reportedly promised to vote against Joe Biden's cabinet nominees until more East Asians are included.
According to nypost.com, "...Duckworth said Tuesday that she will oppose most of President Biden’s nominees in protest of his lack of Asian-American cabinet picks..."
What seems to be more extreme is the senator vowed to vote against white nominees.
According to dailywire.com, "'I am a no vote on the floor, on all non diversity nominees,' Duckworth said. 'You know, I will vote for racial minorities and I will vote for LGBTQ. But anybody else I’m not voting for.'"
To maximize efficiency and effectiveness, inclusion should be based on merit as expressed in capability to perform, rather than on race. Such is the case in NBA and NFL where recruits are not vetted on race but ability. How much more important it is for the greatest nation in human history to recruit the most capable people, from custodians to cabinet members.
