DailyKenn.com — 58-year-old Hernan Leiva was brutally stabbed and bludgeoned to death in Fairfax County, VA in August, 2021.
His attacker 25-year-old attacker, Bazen Berhe, was handed a 100-year prison term with 30 years suspended in January, 2024. He will spend the next 70 years behind bars.
Leiva was a Target store custodian when Berhe, a Somalian co-worker, killed him for allegedly stealing his food from an office refrigerator.
Leiva was a native of El Salvador and appears to have been white-Hispanic.
