DailyKenn.com — 53-year-old Ross Collier was fatally shot in Memphis, TN.
No suspects have been named.
Collier was the victim of a carjacking when he was killed for his 2023 F-150 pickup.
Reports say Collier was "on the job" as a property manager when he was attacked. Apparently the attacker was "on the job" as a carjacker. The disparity in chosen occupations speaks the characters and cultures of those who work for a living and those who steal.
According to wikipedia.org, "56% of carjackers were identified by victims as black, 21% white" [source] Given a black population of about 13 percent nationally and 64.4 percent in Memphis [source], is it reasonable to presume the carjacker was black.
