DailyKenn.com — 69-year-old Richard Yarborough was fatally shot in Fayetteville, NC.
Matias Matthew Bagby, 45, is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, breaking and entering with intent to terrorize and two counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling, according to fayobserver.com.
Reports say shots were still being fired when police arrived. Bagby was subdued after a foot chase.
"Neighbors say a tenant, fearing eviction, shot his landlord, who came to check on the property, and then another neighbor, who came to check on the landlord, before setting his house on fire and fleeing into the woods near his home," according to mydailyrecord.com.
It appears that Bagby will likely find permanent housing compliments of North Carolina's penal system.
