29-year-old Dominique Mejae Washington faces two counts of murder and two counts of felony murder.
Also dead is Christina Dixon.
Authorities have identified the two individuals whose bodies were discovered in the St. Marys River. Dixon and Johnson had helped investigators lead a drug bust just a week before their deaths.
The court documents reveal that Dixon and Johnson were confidential informants for the Richmond Police Department. Their cooperation resulted in a search warrant at a residence linked to Washington, where a significant quantity of narcotics was seized.
Washington, also known by the aliases "Rooster" and "Nico," is accused of abducting Dixon, 40, and Johnson, 41, on Thursday. Investigators suspect Washington lured the victims into a vehicle and forced them to turn off their phones.
Court records suggest that Washington switched vehicles at some point and killed both victims before dumping their bodies in the St. Marys River in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The next day, volunteers cleaning the river near downtown Fort Wayne discovered the remains. The Allen County Coroner has ruled both deaths as homicides, determining that Dixon died from strangulation and suffocation, while Johnson succumbed to a gunshot and stab wound.
