Aubrey McAllister 'Mackie' Jackson, 35, fatally shot in Brewton, AL

DailyKenn.com — Aubrey McAllister 'Mackie' Jackson, 35, was fatally shot in Brewton, AL.

Tyrek Altarius Ball, 17, was arrested. Police are searching for others in connection with Jackson's murder.

Deputies responded to a report of a body found on the side of the road. The victim was identified as Jackson.

Sheriff Jackson stated that the investigation revealed the murder occurred during a drug deal that went wrong.

Ball had earlier been arrested and convicted of second-degree robbery but was released as part of a plea deal. Although sentenced to five years in prison, the sentence was suspended, and Ball was credited for time served in jail with the remainder of his sentence suspended. He was placed on probation for two years.
