Chandler Teen Killed in Shooting; Two Suspects Charged With Homicide

CHANDLER, Ariz. (DailyKenn.com) — A 19-year-old Chandler man died Friday night after being shot during a dispute between two individuals near the intersection of McQueen and Warner roads, authorities said.

Daniel Sublasky was found by responding officers suffering from a gunshot wound just after 9 p.m. in the 2000 block of North McQueen Road. Witnesses reported hearing shots fired amid the altercation and called 911 to summon help.

Sublasky was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The shooting marked the city's first homicide of 2025, police confirmed.

Two other 19-year-old men, Mateo Bynum and Tanutamani Richards, were arrested and each booked on a charge of 2nd degree homicide, according to police. The suspects were identified as acquaintances of Sublasky, though the nature of the dispute remained under investigation.

Chandler police urged anyone with additional information to come forward, emphasizing the role of community tips in piecing together the events leading to the fatal encounter.
