ANNANDALE, Va. — Former Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax shot and killed his wife, Dr. Cerina Fairfax, before turning the gun on himself in their family home early Thursday morning, authorities confirmed.

Fairfax County police responded to the residence on the 8100 block of Guinevere Drive shortly after midnight following a 911 call from the couple’s teenage son.
