DailyKenn.com — 73-year-old Mary Deloise "Dee" Eady was fatally shot after being raped in Forest, MS, reports say. Her remains were allegedly burned by the perpetrator.
Sammy Patrick is alleged to have broken into the victim's home before killing her.
"Eady’s family found their loved one’s body inside the home after they got a cellphone alert from the victim’s security system," live5news.com reported.
The two apparently did not know each other, even though they lived close. It appears Patrick may have seen the elderly widow who lived alone as an easy target.
Some use such tragedies as an argument for racial segregation.
