Deaire Summerall, 19, is charged with murder and felonious assault.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested following a fatal shooting on Columbus' southeast side Wednesday night.
The shooting left another in critical condition.
Witnesses
reported seeing four suspects, all described as Black men dressed in
black, fleeing the scene after the victims, who were likely in a car,
were shot.
Denise Walker, a local resident who was home during the shooting, described the chaotic scene.
"It was like a bomb went off 20 times," Walker recalled. "I knew something was happening. We're supposed to look out for each other, to help one another—not to take lives. We're supposed to care for people. It seems like no one helps anymore."
When officers arrived, they found the victim's vehicle slowly rolling down the street, with the driver deceased on the roadway.
