Allison McIntyre, 59, is tragically killed while trying to help a woman named Monet Thompson in Annapolis, as shared by her daughter, Desiree McIntyre. Desiree recalls how her mother is always caring, compassionate, and never judgmental, often helping anyone, even strangers, without hesitation.
On the day of the incident, Desiree speaks to her mother, who tells her she is heading out to assist Monet, whose car has broken down and needs gas. While still on the phone with her, Desiree hears her mother asking which gas station to go to, followed by a sudden silence. Shortly after, she hears someone asking if her mother is okay, and then the call ends abruptly.
Police arrest 49-year-old Monet Thompson for the shooting. According to court records, after briefly moving in McIntyre's car, Thompson exits and flees the scene in a blue Toyota. Authorities are still trying to figure out the motive behind the shooting, and Thompson is currently being held without bail.
Investigators are also probing a possible connection between Thompson and a separate homicide from September. Desiree, devastated by her mother’s death, expresses her hope that justice will be served.
The investigation remains ongoing.
