DailyKenn.com — Left-leaning legal scholar and lawyer Johnathan Turley criticized a bill to increase seats on the nation's supreme court as a "hostile takeover."

"It would reduce the Court to a glorified FCC with life tenure," he wrote in his blog, jonathanturley.org

Turley speculated that the entire supreme court could oppose the bill.

Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) earlier went on record as calling the bill "unpacking" the supreme court.

"I am particularly disappointed to see Nadler in this group," Turley noted. "I never imagined that I would see the day that the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee would step forward to call for raw court packing. It is a sign of our current political environment where rage overwhelms reason."

Take aways ...

• If Republicans controlled both houses of congress and the White House, would Democrats complain if the GOP attempted to pack the supreme court?

• It seems the strategy of the far-left is to pack everything it possibly can. It strives to be the dominant voice or the only voice. What is it about leftism that makes it so adverse to competition?

• Why does the left use rage over reason? This is seen in generations of campus protests and riots. Why does the left fear rational dialogue?
